Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI Receives an Honorary Doctorate in Maritime Studies

The Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI, Vice Admiral Erwin S. Aldedharma, S.E., M.M., M.Sc., was awarded an honorary doctorate (Dr. H.C.) in Maritime Science from Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat) during an Open Senate Session held at the Prof. Dr. Soemitro Djojohadikusumo Auditorium at Unsrat on Friday (6/19). This honorary degree conferment was presided over by Unsrat Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Oktovian Berty Alexander Sompie, M.Eng. IPU, ASEAN Eng.

The Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI is a high-ranking officer in the Indonesian Navy with a long track record in various strategic positions, including Commander of the First Fleet (Pangkoarmada I), Commander of the First Regional Military Command (Pangkogabwilhan I), and Deputy Chief of the Navy (Wakasal). This award recognizes the Vice Governor’s dedication and contributions to the development of national maritime affairs, strategic leadership, and the strengthening of national identity. 

The Vice Governor’s contributions, reflected in his leadership of naval operations, the development of the Indonesian Navy, maritime diplomacy, and the strengthening of organizational governance, are considered to have had a positive impact on the advancement of the national maritime sector and the development of national insights. The award ceremony served as a moment to honor the Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI’s dedication and service to the nation and state through the maritime sector.

During his visit to Manado, the Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI also visited the North Sulawesi Governor’s Office. Accompanied by the Commander of the Naval Regional Command VIII, the Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI was welcomed by North Sulawesi Vice Governor Dr. J. Victor Mailangkay, S.H., M.H. (SP/CHP/DA)
