Lemhannas Governor of Indonesia Gives Briefing to Participants of the 68th P4N Class of 2025

After officially opening the National Leadership Preparation and Consolidation Education Program (P4N) for the 68th Class of 2025, the Governor of Lemhannas, Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., gave a briefing to the 68th P4N Class participants at the Dwi Warna Purwa Building on Wednesday (2/5).
On this occasion, the Governor of Lemhannas conveyed the history of Lemhannas, which was officially formed on May 20, 1965 by President Soekarno as a geopolitical institution. The purpose of establishing Lemhannas as a geopolitical institution is to prepare national leadership cadres to integrate various components of the nation, both civil and military. "Because there is no policy taken by the state that is not related to global interests. Including interests in the region, even if it is certainly influenced by the global geopolitical system and it is still relevant today," said the Governor of Lemhannas.
The Governor of Lemhannas said that as a national leader, one must understand the global perspective and uphold national interests. The 68th P4N class participants must have a comprehensive understanding that not only includes defense and security aspects, but also must have and understand the importance of ideology, politics, economics, socio-culture, geography, demography, and natural resources, which is known as asta gatra.
Furthermore, the Governor of Lemhannas conveyed that Lemhannas also oversees the programs of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, namely asta cita. Lemhannas' role in supporting asta cita in accordance with its main duties and functions is education for the preparation of cadres and consolidation of national-level leaders, strategic studies of various national, regional, and international issues, strengthening the values of nationality, and measuring the national resilience index. "We believe that the vision of asta cita is a milestone towards a Golden Indonesia 2045," said the Governor of Lemhannas.
The Governor of Lemhannas also mentioned that in addition to being a vehicle for teaching, learning and sharing knowledge, Lemhannas will become a foster mother of studies that continuously strengthens critical thinking patterns, becomes a cauldron for students as prospective national leaders with national character, a networking vehicle to develop work networks and establish cooperation, and a branding development vehicle through the delivery of out-of-the-box ideas.
To become a prospective national leader, as a strategic leader, one must be able to master several things, namely being able to make decisions by looking ahead, being able to predict or define the future, being able to analyze the current situation, and being able to plan and carry out strategic steps to achieve the future.
In his briefing, the Governor of Lemhannas also emphasized to the 68th P4N class participants to have seven national leadership competencies, namely strategic analysis, strategic decision making, strategic planning, managing change, managing diversity, collaboration, and leadership. On this occasion, the Governor of Lemhannas also conveyed various global, regional and national challenges ranging from the 2024 US Presidential Election, BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), the Middle East conflict, Russia and Ukraine, the Belt and Road Initiative, ASEAN, US FONOP (Freedom of Navigation Operations), climate change, competition for natural resources, cyber security threats, as well as security and public order issues in Papua that need to be taken seriously for joint anticipation.
Ending his presentation, the Governor of Lemhannas conveyed that one of the strengths of a country is being able to maintain its political stability, security, being able to meet its basic needs and the country has very superior natural resources. "That is a characteristic of a developed country. We hope that Indonesia 2045 will become a strong, great country and it is all in our hands, because you are the ones who will lead this nation that we love," concluded the Governor of Lemhannas.
