Collaborating in Supporting Asta Cita, Governor of Lemhannas RI and Chairman of PBNU Sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Governor of the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI) Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si. and the Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Yahya Cholil Staquf signed a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions at the Sultan Hotel on Wednesday (2/5).

The memorandum of understanding outlines the scope of cooperation which includes improving the quality of human resources through education and training, exchanging experts and strengthening national values¹ as well as exchanging information, organizing scientific activities, scientific studies, seminars and workshops.

PBNU Chairman KH Yahya Cholil Staquf in his speech said that currently PBNU has entered the consolidation stage of implementing various designs that have been designed to find an implementation model in realizing the ideals of PBNU. The consolidation is realized through various memoranda of understanding established by PBNU with various institutions, one of which is Lemhannas RI. "I ask for the readiness of all Nahdlatul Ulama ranks to prepare themselves and be ready to work to realize the ideals of Nahdlatul Ulama," said the Chairman of PBNU.

Met after the signing of the memorandum of understanding, the Governor of Lemhannas RI stated that synergy with Nahdlatul Ulama is important to further strengthen national unity in order to build national resilience. According to the Governor of Lemhannas RI, Nahdlatul Ulama, which is filled with scholars and intellectuals, certainly has a very long experience and has various scientific disciplines so that it can exchange knowledge with Lemhannas RI.

The Governor of Lemhannas RI believes that Nahdlatul Ulama has a significant role for the Indonesian nation. The presence of Nahdlatul Ulama can contribute to improving the diverse human resources of Indonesia. "So far, Nahdlatul Ulama has had a spirit of tolerance to maintain the diversity of the Indonesian nation," said the Governor of Lemhannas RI.

In addition to signing a memorandum of understanding with Lemhannas RI, PBNU also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of P2MI of the Republic of Indonesia, Perum Bulog, and the Ministry of PPPA. (NA/CHP)
