"What occurs in Indonesia is bound to be subject to various challenges," the Governor of Lemhanas RI, Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily stated while delivering a keynote speech at the early orientation for participants of the Preparation and Consolidation Program for National-Level Leaders (P4N), Batch LXIX, Lemhannas RI, on Tuesday (1/13). The governor emphasized the importance of national leaders' knowledge of geopolitics to achieve strong national resilience.

During the event, he discussed the rapidly changing global geopolitical dynamics. Currently, conflicts are occurring in various parts of the world. Rivalries are creating trade wars through economic and technological policies. Additionally, the planet is facing climate change, causing natural disasters. These dynamics undoubtedly impact the nation's current situation. Therefore, Indonesia needs national resilience and leaders with analytical skills, planning abilities, and decision-making capacity.

"National resilience is our tenacity and toughness in relying on ourselves and our ability as a nation to overcome threats, disturbances, obstacles, and challenges," the governor said. At Lemhannas RI, national resilience is conceptualized as Asta Gatra, which comprises geography, demography, natural resources, ideology, politics, the economy, society and culture, and defense and security. This concept is based on the Four Basic Consensus of the Nation: Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and NKRI.

Furthermore, the Governor of Lemhannas RI said that the participants of P4N Batch LXIX Lemhannas RI are expected to become strategic leaders. Upon graduation, it is hoped that the participants will be able to make forward-looking decisions, predict or define the future, analyze the current situation, and plan and take strategic steps to achieve it. “As future leaders, you must have a ‘vision of what I want.’ They must build a mindset of optimism, look ahead, and realize the future," he added.

The governor then emphasized the importance of collaboration between different entities. He believes that no one can work alone and must collaborate with others. "National leaders are not superheroes, but they must be able to foster collaboration and adapt to the strategic environment to ensure national resilience," the governor concluded.

P4N Batch LXIX of Lemhannas RI began on January 13, 2026, and is scheduled to end on July 14, 2026, after five and a half months. The P4N Batch LXIX comprises 110 participants, including 48 from the Indonesian National Armed Forces, 28 from the Indonesian National Police, 21 from the civil service, 7 from non-civil service organizations, and 6 from friendly countries.
