The National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI) organized a Nuzulul Qur'an and charity event with 110 people from Al-Kamilah Foundation Serua Bojongsari, Depok, West Java. On Wednesday (19/3), the Governor of Lemhannas RI, Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si, and the Chairperson of Perista Lemhannas RI, Mrs. Rita Hasan Syadzily, delivered the donation directly to the Sudirman Mosque of Lemhannas RI.

On this occasion, the Governor expressed his appreciation to the committee of the Senate and participants of the Preparation and Consolidation Education for the National-level Leaders (P4N) Batch 68 for the charity initiative. “We should make this moment part of our dedication to make meaning of Ramadan. As we know, Ramadan is a blessed month for all of us Muslims, and it is our commitment to commemorate Nuzulul Qur'an to learn and take inspiration from the Qur'an as a guide for our lives,” he stated.

In his speech, the Governor of Lemhannas RI told stories about people who in the Quran are mentioned as people who were destroyed and people who were praised by Allah SWT. This is related to national resilience.

The people mentioned were people of 'Aad who were construction experts, people of Tsamud who were sculptors, people of Fir'aun who were experts in building pyramids, and people of Saba' who owned fertile land. These people were destroyed by Allah SWT because they were arrogant, conceited, had forgotten their God, and most of them did damage to the earth.

Referring to the story, the Governor of Lemhannas RI emphasized that it is important to address the resilience aspect of a nation and maintain national ethics. He conveyed the obligation in building a nation that must be accompanied by the passion to maintain religious values. “In Indonesia, it is proper because we have the state constitution of Belief in One God as the foundation for the nation,” the governor stated.

Meanwhile, the obligations of the state as described in Surah Quraysh are ensuring that its people never go hungry, feeding the starving, protecting the entire nation and providing a sense of security, which is part of the duties of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

The Quran urges policymakers to create policies ensuring that people have access to sufficient food. In a broader sense, it represents the creation of prosperity.

To ensure the sufficiency of food needs can be realized by expressing gratitude for the abundance of natural resources endowed upon Indonesia such as palm oil, maritime, nickel, and so forth. Furthermore, the essence of gratitude must be realized by using and utilizing the blessings that God has granted.

Concluding his speech, the governor of Lemhannas RI remarked that the stories in the Qur'an encourage people to always be grateful for the blessings they receive. “We can learn lessons from these stories to inspire us in maintaining national resilience,” he concluded.

The event was followed by sharing parcels to Lemhannas RI personnel representing ASN, TNI, Satkam, Pramubakti, Polri, and then proceeded with iftar together.
