Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., officially opened the Training of Trainers (ToT) of the Strengthening of National Values Program (PPNK) for Lecturers, Teachers and Trainers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta on Thursday (24/4). Over 11 days, Lemhannas RI strengthened the values of 100 participants, including lecturers, teachers, and trainers.
"Through this training, the lecturers, teachers and trainers are anticipated to play a pivotal role in implementing a learning process infused with national character, executed in an effective, innovative, and creative manner, thereby resonating with the students’ national spirit,” said the governor of Lemhannas RI in his speech. The training seeks to cultivate a robust national character grounded in Indonesia's noble values as the nation's founders envisioned.
He also stated that the participants received various resources to enhance their skills, insight, and learning methods. The goal was to train the participants to be effective educators and dependable facilitators capable of instilling national values into their mindsets, behaviours, and daily practices. 'This embodies the core of cultivating an Indonesian identity with a national perspective,' remarked the governor.
After the training, the participants are expected to enhance their ability to recognize and uncover the students’ potential, including their latent potential. The Training of Trainers (ToT) of the Strengthening of National Values Program serves a crucial role in guarding and directing the development of national character within the educational process.
The Training of Trainers (ToT) of the Strengthening of National Values is a training model by Lemhannas RI designed to enhance the ability and knowledge of enthusiastic and competent educators in the field of national values. It thereby fosters a robust understanding and implementation of these values based on the four basic consensuses of the nation.
Following the opening ceremony, the governor of Lemhannas RI gave an introduction to the dynamics of Global Geopolitics, Astacita, and the challenges in reaching national resilience. He emphasized that educators, lecturers, and trainers are crucial agents of change amidst uncertainty.
Agents of change play a role in promoting love for the country, respect for national symbols, and pride in national identity. These agents also help maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia from threats like radicalism, separatism and intergroup conflicts. However, they also face challenges of geopolitical dynamics, one of which is from global information that can erode the national ideology. Therefore, lecturers, teachers, and trainers need to reinforce the understanding of Pancasila among students.
“Therefore, in directing the generation's mindset, agents of change have a strategic role in shaping characters with integrity, resilience, and in favour of the future of Indonesia,” the governor concluded. (NA/CHP)
