The five-day Regional Leadership Consolidation Course (KPPD) for Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) leaders from across Indonesia, organized by Lemhannas RI, officially concluded at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang on Sunday (4/19). The closing ceremony was presided over by Lemhannas RI Governor, TDr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si, and took place in a strong spirit of nationalism.

The KPPD program underscored the growing importance of regional legislative leaders being able to navigate rapid and dynamic changes, while responding swiftly and appropriately through collaboration among all elements of regional government to align central and regional policies. The Lemhannas RI Governor said national development must be carried out in an integrated, synergistic, and sustainable manner within the broader framework of the nation’s aspirations, particularly through the implementation of Asta Cita as the strategic direction toward Indonesia Emas 2045.

The Lemhannas RI governor also reiterated President Prabowo Subianto’s message that provincial, regency, and city DPRD chairpersons are patriots entrusted with safeguarding national development amid geopolitical challenges. “We are reminded that patriotism is not merely a symbol or slogan, but a statesmanlike attitude grounded in solidarity, integrity, and the ability to reflect the people’s interests in every policy decision,” he said.

Throughout the course, participants received briefings from speakers representing Lemhannas RI, ministers, and heads of state institutions. The program aimed to strengthen the commitment of DPRD leaders nationwide to make Asta Cita a concrete guideline in shaping regional policies.

Provincial, regency, and city DPRD leaders, therefore, are expected to stand at the forefront of ensuring that regional development remains aligned with the central government’s broader vision of achieving Indonesia Emas 2045. The strategic role of DPRD, the governor noted, positions the institution as a bridge between public aspirations and state policy. He emphasized that the legislative, budgeting, and oversight functions of DPRD must be carried out in an adaptive, accountable, and results-oriented manner to translate national priorities into concrete, implementable regional planning.

Quoting President Prabowo’s directive to DPRD leaders across the country, the Lemhannas RI governor said: “Although we may differ, if we truly wish to be called representatives or leaders of the people, then we must work and act for the good and welfare of our people. Not for ourselves, not for our families, not for our relatives, and not for our own groups.”

In that context, the solidarity and leadership network built during the KPPD program is expected to serve as valuable social capital to strengthen social cohesion within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and accelerate inclusive and socially just development.

““Let us move beyond our differences, march forward with unity, and strengthen our collective resolve. We must become patriots who not only safeguard the nation’s development trajectory, but who also place the interests of the country above all else. Together, let us realize the vision of Asta Cita and lead Indonesia toward Indonesia Emas 2045,”  the governor said.

On the occasion, the Lemhannas RI governor also expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to all parties involved in supporting the success of the KPPD program, including the Home Affairs Ministry, the Military Academy, the Central Java administration, and the regional leadership coordination forums (Forkopimda) of Magelang regency and city.

He also extended his appreciation to the prime secretary of Lemhannas RI, the deputy for the strengthening of national values, faculty members and speakers who contributed to the course. Special appreciation was likewise conveyed to all KPPD participants, with the governor encouraging them to apply the knowledge gained during the program in their respective regions.

Also present at the ceremony were Military Academy Vice Governor Brig. Gen. Pamungkas Agus, Magelang Police Chief Sr. Comr. Herbin Sianipar and Magelang City Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Defri Olfandi. (SP/CHP/MDF)
