"The global geopolitical dynamics we are experiencing today will certainly affect national resilience," the Governor of Lemhannas RI, Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., said. He made the statement while delivering a lecture during the 4th Batch of the Regional Leaders Consolidation Course (KPPD) on Saturday (September 5). On this occasion, the Governor presented material on Global Geopolitical Dynamics and National Resilience. He further emphasized that global geopolitical dynamics will always influence domestic conditions. Therefore, leaders must understand geopolitics to make sound policy decisions.

The Governor added that current geopolitics is characterized by rapid, unpredictable interstate competition. "The reality today is that we are facing a global geopolitical landscape full of uncertainty, which demands that we stand on our own two feet," he remarked.

Highlighting this issue, he stressed that maintaining and defending national resilience is crucial. He said that linking the current situation to strong national resilience—backed by regional resilience—will pave the way toward Indonesia Emas 2045. "This must also be supported by regional resilience; we cannot achieve national resilience without regional resilience," he asserted.

Amid ongoing global competition, the Governor affirmed that Indonesia must continue developing superior human resources. In this regard, the participants of KPPD Batch 4, acting as regional heads, bear the responsibility of ensuring the younger generation always uses national values as their moral compass.

"As regional heads, you are part of a collective national leadership, and we must unify our vision together," he stated. Consequently, regional heads are expected to have strong national character, maintain a forward-looking vision, and become adaptive, transformative leaders.

The Governor expressed his confidence that the elected regional heads are highly capable of leading their respective regions. "Regional resilience is an integral part of national resilience. A tough region is not one that never experiences problems. In fact, it is when we can resolve those problems effectively that the success of a regional leader is proven," he noted.

After participating in the KPPD, the attendees are expected to generate innovations that enrich their insights and skills. Regional heads are expected to act as a core component of national strength, capable of fortifying national resilience.

"Our duty is to guard the sovereignty and integrity of our nation. Today, we are not only competing in the sense of physical warfare, but we are also experiencing technological disruption, which is partially influenced by global opinions and foreign powers," the Governor concluded. (NA/CHP/DA)
