Governor of Lemhannas RI Receives Audience from Rector of Mulawarman University

The Governor of Lemhannas RI, Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., received a courtesy visit from the Rector of Mulawarman University, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Abdunnur, M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng., on Tuesday (September 15). The audience also included Prof. Dr. Rahmawati, S.E., M.M., Professor of Marketing Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Mulawarman University.

During the meeting, the Rector expressed deep appreciation for the upcoming "Lemhannas Goes to Campus" program, slated to be held at Universitas Mulawarman on Tuesday (September 22). He hoped the event would significantly strengthen students' national character and patriotism.

In response, the Governor of Lemhannas RI explained that "Lemhannas Goes to Campus" is a strategic response to the urgent need to instill national values in the younger generation. "Generation Z currently needs the most reinforcement. Their social interaction through gadgets is incredibly strong; they are digital natives," the Governor said. He emphasized that today's youth are highly vulnerable to losing touch with their identity and existence as Indonesian citizens, making the continuous reinforcement of national values an absolute necessity.

Furthermore, the Governor highlighted that amidst a global landscape increasingly characterized by a "war of opinions," university students must possess the critical intelligence to filter and select information effectively. Modern threats can emerge from foreign powers seeking to intervene by influencing how the younger generation thinks. Therefore, Lemhannas RI considers the ongoing consolidation of national values among youth critical to national security.

Echoing this sentiment, the Rector of Mulawarman University announced that the upcoming "Lemhannas Goes to Campus" event will have a broad impact. Beyond the students and academic community of Universitas Mulawarman, the university plans to invite rectors from universities across East Kalimantan. "This represents my vision as a rector to strengthen our national values proactively," the Rector concluded.

Also present during the audience were several high-ranking officials, including the Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI, Vice Admiral Erwin S. Aldedharma; Prime Secretary of Lemhannas RI, Police Commissioner General Dr. Gatot Tri Suryanta, M.Si.; Deputy for Strengthening of National Values of Lemhannas RI, Major General Raden Djaenudin Selamet, S.E.; and Director of Socialization and Media for the Strengthening of National Values, Police Brigadier General Syahril Saharda, S.I.K., M.Si.
