Following the official opening of the Collaborative PPNK Batch 120 for PT Pertamina Training & Consulting, Governor of Lemhannas RI Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si. briefed all participants at the Pancasila Room on Monday (August 3). On the occasion, the Governor outlined the program's objectives, including broadening participants’ national outlook, fostering statesmanlike character, encouraging them to become agents of change, and strengthening national unity.

Opening his presentation, the Governor said Lemhannas RI was established in line with Soekarno’s vision of producing national leaders who understand the importance of geopolitics in safeguarding national sovereignty and navigating global challenges. “Every challenge faced by a nation is inseparable from geopolitics,” he said.

The Governor went on to highlight global geopolitical developments, including stronger Russia-China and China-North Korea alliances, violations of the US-Iran peace agreement, a renewed escalation in the Houthi-Saudi Arabia conflict, and the potential for maritime tensions in the South China Sea. These global geopolitical developments affect various strategic dimensions of national life and governance around the world, particularly the economic dimension, including disruptions to supply chains, rising prices of certain commodities such as oil and gas, chemicals, wheat, and others, as well as an outflow of foreign investment from developing countries, including Indonesia.

Today, challenges are no longer dominated by issues of war but also involve technology. While technological disruption offers advantages, it can also pose threats, such as cyberbullying, unfiltered digital consumption, unlimited access to information, and dependence on gadgets. In line with this, individuals should strengthen their digital literacy and national vigilance.

Furthermore, the Governor urged all Collaborative PPNK participants to prioritize national values and nationalism when considering young people in PT Pertamina’s recruitment process. “Their resilience in facing these challenges is important, and this is closely related to national character,” the Governor said.

In addition, Indonesia must have national resilience to realize national resilience. Strong national values that shape the nation’s character, disposition, personality, and spirit of nationalism are expected to contribute to the realization of a Golden Indonesia 2045.

Concluding his presentation, the Governor called on all PPNK participants to continue developing and equipping themselves. He said that strengthening national values through training would produce resilient drivers of national development. “Let us continue to learn, share knowledge, and create a generation of lifelong learners who love their country,” the Governor concluded.
