News & Article Tuesday, 27 January 2026, 12:00On Tuesday (1/27), Lemhannas RI held a Christmas service and celebration in the Dwi Warna Purwa Room. The theme of the event was "God is Present to Save the Family" (Matthew 1:21–24), and the sub-theme was "With the Christmas Spirit, We Build Families that Strengthen National Resilience."
"Christmas is an important time for Christians. It evokes Jesus Christ's sacrifices and actions. He set an example for us about the importance of love as the foundation of human life," the Governor of Lemhannas RI, Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., remarked. Emphasizing the sub-theme's relevance, the governor discussed its relation to a strong nation. According to him, a great generation can be created because of the family's foundation, which is essential to development. He believes that healthy, strong, and principled families produce high-quality individuals who determine the national resilience.
Furthermore, the Governor stated that the 2025 Christmas celebration should be an opportunity to strengthen family values and foster family transformation in support of national resilience. "On this occasion, I invite all Lemhannas RI officials to embrace the spirit of Christmas as a time for reflection and transformation. Let us strengthen our families, reinforce our work ethic and integrity, and make Lemhannas a microcosm of Indonesia," he said.
Concluding his remarks, the governor emphasized that the 2025 Christmas celebration should inspire optimism and remind us that hope endures, even amid limitations. "Throughout history, Jesus Christ has taught us that we must be a light, no matter how small, to fight darkness. Similarly, the strength of the family, as the smallest unit of this nation, will certainly make this nation strong," he concluded.
On this occasion, Pastor Samuel Adi Perdana of the POUK Dian Kasih Cimanggis Church shared that this work of salvation should be welcomed with gratitude to achieve a blissful life. "From gratitude, we find a happy life. With gratitude and happiness in our hearts, we are called to build a family life full of Christ’s love so that we can transform the world and our nation,” Pastor Samuel said. In line with this message, the head pastor of the St. Nicodemus Church in Ciputat, Rm. Aloysius Susilo Wijoyo, Pr., mentioned in his Christmas reflection that believers must not lose hope and that the family is the foundation of the church.
