“Our shared responsibility is to ensure that the mandate entrusted to all of you is carried out to the best of your ability for the benefit of the people, because we are all the voice of the people,” said Governor of Lemhannas RI Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., during his lecture to participants of the Regional Leadership Strengthening Course (KPPD) for Regional Legislative Council Heads nationwide at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang on Thursday (4/16). The Governor of Lemhannas RI stated that the KPPD functions as a platform to rekindle the spirit of nationalism. He emphasized that this spirit must be instilled in all leaders, including those at the regional level, as leadership is not solely about regional development but also about nation-building. “We must be united in our commitment for Indonesia to grow into a strong, resilient, and great nation, and the time to act is now. If we do not succeed in transforming our country into a developed nation at this point, we risk losing the opportunity,” he said. On President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programs, the Governor of Lemhannas RI stressed that these are not solely the responsibility of the central government, but also of regional administrations as part of the national leadership system, which must align their policies with national interests. In his presentation, the Lemhannas RI governor explained that Indonesia is facing global geopolitical disruption marked by the VUCA era, characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, which has even shifted toward the BANI era, marked by fragility, anxiety, nonlinearity, and incomprehensibility. Nevertheless, he emphasized that Indonesia’s national resilience remains relatively strong. He further emphasized the strategic role of the Regional Legislative Council in advancing Asta Cita, including through development-oriented legislation, enhancing regional human resources, supervising regional budgets, preventing corruption at the regional level, and preserving political stability. He added that leaders of the Regional Legislative Council are expected to demonstrate integrity, possess a clear vision, be adaptive, and drive progress in their respective regions. The Governor of Lemhannas RI expressed hope that through the KPPD program, all Regional Legislative Council Heads would be able to maintain unity, ensure a stable and conducive environment, and strengthen regional resilience. Participants were also expected to align their understanding of national goals to improve public welfare, enhance the quality of human resources, realize clean regional governance, and pioneer budgeting that prioritizes the people, the environment, and the nation’s future. “National resilience is a reflection of regional resilience. If the regions are not resilient or strong, we cannot expect national resilience to be realized,” he concluded. (MA/SP/MDF) |
